"There's nothing as satisfying as seeing a custom piece come alive with each movement of my hands. From the initial drawings to the final delivery, it develops an incredible personality of its own."
Every piece I make requires a different process. I use a combination of machine and hand techniques, depending on what the project requires. I start with broad ideas, sketching each of them out and then working out the technical details. Once my customer chooses a final design, I receive a deposit and purchase lumber and materials from local sources in and around Richmond. Then I begin my favorite part of the process: the actual crafting of the piece. This can take several weeks or even a few months- depending on the complexity of the project and how many other projects are happening simultaneously.
