“I Love seeing a custom piece come alive with each movement of my hands.”

Curious about the building process?

I’d love to tell you about it!

Every piece requires a different process!
I use a combination of machine and hand techniques, depending on what the project requires.

First, I get to know my customer! What do they love and what do they hate? Do they know exactly what they are looking for, or would they prefer to brainstorm with me?

Second, I get a good idea of what my customer is looking for. I start with broad ideas, sketching each of them out and then working out the technical details.

Third, I discuss all of the great options with my customer. Once my customer chooses a final design, I request a
40% deposit so that I can purchase lumber and materials from local sources around Richmond.

Next, I begin my favorite part of the process: the actual crafting of the piece. This can take several weeks or even a few months- depending on the complexity of the project and how many other projects are happening simultaneously!

Finally, the piece is delivered to the customer! This is always an amazing part of the process because we both get to see the vision come to fruition!
